AAA Showcase Set For Tonight at CHS

TONIGHT from 6:00 – 8:00pm Central High School will host the annual AAA Showcase for incoming freshmen students and parents.  This will be a live, in person event!  Your attendance is strongly encouraged as course selection information will be discussed at this time, and Skyward will be opened for student requests next week.

This evening will highlight important areas of the high school experience regarding Academics, Athletics and Activities!

Please review our link one of tonight’s presentations.

Academics:

There will be 2 duplicate presentations in the main gym. Due to space considerations we ask that you please plan to attend your designated presentation.

  • 7:00 – 7:45pm (Alpha slice L-Z)

Meet the counselors and the teachers from each department!  Ask questions regarding specific subjects, classes and programs!  What are the CHS graduation requirements?  Who is my Counselor?  What does the inside of Central High School look like?   What required classes will I take next year?  What are my elective choices?   How many advanced courses are there at CHS?  How long are my classes?  How do I use the CHS Curriculum Guide?  How do I register for my classes?  Do I have to take a foreign language?  When can I take Drivers Education?  These as well as many other questions will be answered!

Athletics and Activities:

Open from 6:00 – 8:00pm

Meet all of the CHS coaches and club/activity sponsors!  Ask specific questions regarding each department/sport/activity!  How do I get involved in extracurricular activities at CHS?  What sports are available?  What activities can I get involved in?  How many clubs can I join?  These as well as many other questions will be answered!

Tour the building:

Open from 6:00 – 8:00pm

A map will be provided for you to walk the building. CHS Peer Leaders will be stationed at every area throughout the building to share information regarding each area you enter.

We look forward to seeing all of the future Rocket families TONIGHT!
